ROBINA STREJA
Robina Streja, PT, MS, SST received a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy, Summa cum Laude, from Hunter College of the City University of New York and a Master of Science from the Polytechnic Institute of Bucharest, Romania.
Her main area of interest is the treatment of scoliosis, and she is a certified Schroth Scoliosis Therapist. She received her initial Schroth certification in New York in February 2012, followed by the Barcelona Scoliosis Physical Therapy School (BSPTS) C1 certification in Barcelona in 2015
and BSPTS C2 in New York in 2017. In May 2017 she received a certification in the Scientific Exercise Approach for Scoliosis (SEAS).
She also received a certification in Personal Training from the National Strength and Conditioning Association and training in the Graston Technique.
Prior to opening her own practice in 2008, she worked at Mount Sinai Hospital
and at the Mount Sinai Sports Therapy Center in New York, and at Sports Med Rehab
in Scarsdale, where she became Clinical Director.
Robina is constantly expanding her expertise with continuing education courses in a wide variety of topics, ranging from the treatment of young athletes, to exercise in pregnancy, to improving balance and preventing falls in the elderly. She has participated in courses offered, among others,
by Maitland Seminars, The Institute of Physical Art, Shirley Sahrmann, Beverly Biondi, David Butler,
Brian Mulligan, APPI Matwork Pilates, and regularly attends professional conferences
at the major teaching institutions in the tri-state area.
DEBBIE MANGAN
Debbie Mangan, PT received a Bachelors of Science degree in Physical Therapy from Utica College of Syracuse University in 1998. Since graduation she has been specializing in orthopedic and sports physical therapy.
She worked as the Clinical Supervisor at Klein Physical Therapy in New Rochelle, staff physical therapist at Sports Med Rehab in Scarsdale and, from 2008-2012, she was the Clinical Director at Premier Physical Therapy in Hartsdale. In addition to being on our staff,
she is currently also a full-time therapist at VNS of Westchester.
Debbie continues to expand her knowledge and stay up to date with current practices through continuing education. She has taken courses offered by prestigious organizations and lecturers such as Maitland Seminars, HSS Network, McKenzie Institute, Kevin Wilk, Beverly Biondi, Brian Mulligan, and John Barnes.
ANGELA McERLAIN
Angela McErlain, PT was educated in Ireland, graduating in 1986 from the University of Ulster with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy. Working at New York Hospital, she became licensed to practice Physical Therapy in NY in 1988, working primarily in orthopedic outpatient care and sports medicine. She trained in Craniosacral therapy in the UK and in John Barnes' Method Myofascial Release therapy in the U.S.
With more than 30 years of experience, she finds this hands-on holistic approach has proven to be effective in the evaluation and treatment of a variety of acute and chronic conditions including: soft tissue injury, back and neck pain, TMJ disorders, post-mastectomy issues, headaches, asthma, anxiety, and depression, to name but a few.
As a facilitator, she feels privileged to help clients achieve significant improvements in health at their own pace and finds the gentle and caring MFR approach works to restore overall health when nothing else will.
Married to her best friend and raising four children have developed patience and listening skills and enhanced her awareness of others. Outside of work she enjoys walking, yoga, and gardening.
